I have been somewhere around a camera since leaving school in 1996. Having studied photography at school, I commenced studies at Photography Studies College in Melbourne looking to specialise in photojournalism. Whilst studying, I worked as a restaurant photographer, in a number of minilabs and in 1999, I moved into retail sales of photographic equipement.
Around 2001, I began to combine my passion for photography with my love of motorsport. By 2003, I had been published in major national magazine V8X Supercar Magazine, and was supplying images to V8 developement series teams. In 2004, I was recognised for my motorsoprt work with CAMS (Confederation of Australian Motorsport) Photogrpahers Accreditation. With publisher support, I was also able to gain Media Accreditation from V8 Supercars on a round by round basis for 2004 - 2005. In 2005, I left working in the camera retail industry to allow more time to cover motorsport events. In 2006, I gained Series Accreditation for the V8 Supercars Series, which I maintained until the end of 2008
By the end of 2008, priorities had changed with the arrival of my 3 children, and my work as a motorsport photographer had to take a backseat. At the end of 2010, I elected to allow my acreditation with CAMS to lapse. Competing priorities have meant that I do not frequent Australia's race circuits as often as I either used to or would like. I am still however covering Victorian state events for the Victorian division of the Australian Sports Sedans Association, and I am still available on request to cover events.
I have recently rediscovered my enjoyment of nature photography (images to hopefully be added to the website as time permits between work and family commitments).
